I’m embarking on a two-month sabbatical to rest and ask myself: Where have I come from, and where am I going? To answer this question, I know only one thing: I need to write.
Meg! I'm praying for your sabbatical and for the wonderfully holy process of shaping things into words! I very much resonate with the need to write to dig deep, resurrect, and imagine. One of my favorite books on writing (Refuse To Be Done by Matt Bell) describes how when you're immersed in writing something, you start to see the world through its eyes - you develop a new form of attention, noticing what the work wants to notice as well as what your own eyes normally would. Rings very true to me and I hope you are richly blessed by that experience of fresh seeing!
oooooo... this resonated so deeply with me. Although sometimes I resist, (in the words of Julia Cameron) - "writing rights me"
Love that!!
